Youper is released on 16 Mar 2016 and now has been downloaded by 100 thousand users with 4.8 rating. The CEO of Youper is Dr. Hamilton.
Well, I used to received this kind of messages from one of supporting team from Malaysia but I stopped with them with some kind of reasons. Can I say that I actually have a doubt with.. this.. yup but I still used it 😅
So, the first thing that will happen if you open the app is..
You will be asked about how you feel. Then the rest will happen.
So this is what I got, Thinking Trap. Have you been heard about "Thinking Trap" ? If yes, then it's good. If not, let me just explain briefly to you with explanation and example of course. "Knowing your thinking traps gives you a quick way to know when not to trust what you think. We all do it sometimes, and recognizing when we are using them is an important step for releasing their hold on us. Here are some very common types of thinking traps."
Trap: Jumping to Conclusions. We predict what is going to happen, with little or no evidence. This can include thinking that you know what others are thinking (mind reading), without any evidence.
Example: I’m not going to the reunion because I won’t fit in. Talking to others will just highlight how sad my life are.
Am I falling into this trap?: Yes.
Trap: Worst-Case Scenario. We exaggerate how badly something will turn out and how we will be unable to cope.
Example: I can’t stop comparing my self to others. I feel like I am leave too far behind them. I won’t know how to help my self.
Example: I can’t stop comparing my self to others. I feel like I am leave too far behind them. I won’t know how to help my self.
Am I falling into this trap?: Yes.
Trap: It’s All My Fault. We take on too much responsibility and believe that if we have any influence over a negative outcome then we are responsible for preventing it.
Example: It must have been my fault that I ended up living like this. There must have been SOMETHING I could have done to change it.
Trap: Harsh Critic. We impose harsh rules or labels on ourselves or others about the way we SHOULD behave and/or feel.
Example: I SHOULD always be able to speak what I needed, what I like, what I hate, and any other feels. I’m a bad person for not being able to do so and makes people feel frustrated with my behavior.
Am I falling into this trap?: Yes.
Trap: Black-and-White Thinking. We think in extreme (or all-or-nothing) terms and view things as either perfect or a complete disaster or failure.
Example: My final paper in exam was a horrible experience and I feel like a failure. I feel like I did not answer any questions correctly.
Am I falling into this trap?: Yes.
Trap: Confusing Thoughts with Actual Probability. We believe that thinking about a negative event or action actually increases the likelihood of it happening.
Example: I get horrific images of my self catching some disease and being very ill without no one knows about it.
Am I falling into this trap?: Yes.
Trap: Confusing Thoughts with Actions. We believe having the thought about doing something undesirable is the same as actually doing it.
Example: Whenever I feel frustrated with my self, I get scary thoughts about hurting my self. What if these thoughts are trying to warn me that I could snap sometime and actually do it?
Am I falling into this trap?: Yes.
Trap: If It “Feels” True, It Must Be True. We use emotional reasoning – using our feelings as evidence that our thoughts are really true, even when there is little or no concrete evidence to support them.
Example: I feel unsure of myself, therefore I must not know what I’m doing as a daughter, friends and sisters.
Am I falling into this trap?: Yes.
